Peters, Bernadette

Mrs. Bernadette Peters is an enthusiastic and passionate vocalist, educator, and
collaborator who has experience teaching young musicians of all ages! Bernadette
Peters has been a public school music educator for the past decade. Currently, Mrs.
Peters is in her fourth year as the Vocal Music Teacher at LCJ Summit Middle
School in Summit, NJ. There, she teaches class keyboard and music technology,
directs 3 curricular choirs, leads 2 after-school choirs, and vocally directs the
school musical for the school’s award-winning theater program. Previously, Mrs.
Peters was the Vocal/General Music Teacher at Hannah Caldwell Elementary
School in Union for 6 years. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education
from Rutgers University and a Masters in Music Education from Montclair State
University.
When she was looking for a summer job in 2022, Miss Sheila, a mom from her
school community-now turned friend and mentor, introduced her to the Kids’
Music Round training and curriculum. She quickly felt right at home sharing the
joy of music with the youngest learners! She has taught for two summers with Miss
Shelia, and is now excited to become a licensee to share Kids’ Music Round
classes with the greater Morristown community.
