Kids' MusicRound is a singing, laughing, giggling, jiggling, clapping, dancing, bouncing, fun-filled, award-winning music and movement experience for infants and children to age five. This young age is when your child's innate music potential is actively developing. With the KMR children's music program, parents can help bring out a child's natural curiosity about music in a playful, encouraging class environment.

A music and movement class for infants, toddlers and preschoolers that includes activities designed to promote musical learning across ages. In our signature mixed-age class, infants, toddlers, and preschoolers along with their parents or caregivers join together as a musical community. Activities include playing rhythm instruments, having fun with finger plays, and singing and dancing to music of different meters and tonalities. A mixed-age setting allows children the freedom to develop basic skills like singing in tune and keeping an accurate beat at their own pace. Since there is no set age for these skills to be acquired, these classes provide a non-performance opportunity for musical exploration that the whole family can enjoy. She has coached teachers across the US and abroad on teaching practices in early childhood music and is a clinician at early childhood conferences. Teaching credentials include K5 vocal music in the Hamilton, NJ, public schools, preschool music at the Pennington Montessori School, Pennington, NJ, and teaching parent/child music classes since 1988. Barbara is also the founder and director of a children’s and teen choir at her local church. Barbara holds a B.A. in Music Education from The College of New Jersey and has training in Music Learning Theory, Kodaly, Dalcroze Eurythmics and holds Orff Level 1 certification. Barbara incorporates her love of children and music into a program which invites both children and adults to explore the delights of making music.

She began teaching with Kids’ MusicRound in September of 2006. In addition to master teacher, she holds the title of Teacher Training Coordinator and Trainer. In these roles she has led numerous teacher trainings and oversees the mentoring program for new licensees and teachers. As a volunteer she held the position of staging director for the annual children’s musical at Allentown Presbyterian Church for seven years. Kelly has performed with many choirs including an auditioned acapella group, a show choir and local church choirs. Her choir experience includes singing with the Christian Community Choir and can be heard singing on several of their recordings. Miss Kelly delighted many children during her year as a professional clown. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband and daughter, as well as doing volunteer work with her local PTA and the Trenton Cats Rescue. Miss Kelly is very passionate about early childhood music education and very much looks forward to bringing a real joy and love of music that will last a lifetime for all the children in her classes.
